For those using our website

We collect email addresses from:

  • People making enquiries or registering
  • People requesting free information and advice
  • People requesting to receive email newsletters

We collate this information to:

  • Enable us to respond to enquirers
  • Send out information and advice as requested
  • Send newsletters to those who have made a request

No information is shared or sold to any third party company. We will immediately remove you from our database if requested.

For those being referred for a service

We collect personal information from you, including information about your:

  • Name
  • Contact information
  • Personal circumstances – related to your support needs
  • Support needs
  • National Health Index (NHI) number, Social Welfare Number

We also generate personal information about you while providing you with a service.

We collect and generate personal information about you in order to:

  • Provide services to those referred to our organisation
  • Provide non-identifiable data to our funders

Besides our staff, we may share this information with others involved in your care or support in order to ensure we are providing appropriate, safe and effective services.

Providing some information is optional. If you choose not to enter all the information we request, we may be less able to determine whether we can provide a service. If you choose not to provide consent for us to communicate with others involved in your care or support we may be less able to provide an appropriate, safe and effective service.

We keep your information safe by storing electronic information in encrypted databases and hardcopy (paper) information in locked cabinets in our locked offices. Archived hardcopy information is stored offsite by an accredited provider in a secure facility.

As a provider of mental health services we are required to retain information we collect for 20 years after you exit our services. At this point the information is securely destroyed to maintain confidentiality.

 

You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong.
