What We Do

Comcare assists people with mental health or addiction issues to live well in the Canterbury community. We offer a broad range of services including social housing and mental health support services to clients in Christchurch and Canterbury.

Comcare’s Community Support Services provide a broad range of support to assist people move forward in their daily lives. Services are available in Christchurch urban areas as well as parts of rural Canterbury.

Peer Support ServicesPeer Support Services

Comcare’s Peer Support Service offers both face to face and telephone support. The service also provides Peer Support training.

Comcare’s Jobconnect service provides full employment search and support to job seekers and employers if required. Information and advice is part of the service as well as assisting people select suitable training options for those wishing to update their skills as part of their employment seeking journey.

Housing ServicesHousing Service Delivery

Comcare’s Housing Service offers a variety of supports to assist people to find, set up and maintain appropriate housing. The Service also provides urgent assistance in times of unwellness or hospital admission to ensure accommodation is secure.
